The survivors of the Fassbinder family meet on Potsdamer Platz to shoot the last New German Film – a remake of Pasolini’s “The 120 Days of Sodom”. Chaos ensues: director Schlingensief is degraded to set manager and replaced by Sönke Buckmann, who has just received the German Film Award. Film as a nightmare – or vice versa.
“The 120 Days of Bottrop”, is a homage and farewell to Fassbinder – and a hard knock on German film.
